Living Out God’s Love This Week

Dear Friends,

This weekend we celebrate the 20th Sunday of Ordinary Time. In today’s psalm response we hear, “May the peoples praise you, O God: may all the peoples praise you! May God bless us, and may all the ends of the earth fear him!” Fear in this context it is not so much fear of punishment but fear of disappointing God through our sins. The opposite of “disappointing” is “fulfilling.” This week may we fulfill and make real God’s love in all we say and do!

We now have new office hours at the parish office for St. Ann’s, St. Joseph’s and St. Mary’s. New office hours will be Monday thru Thursday 8:00 am to 4:00pm and Friday 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.

For those who would like to enter into the Catholic Church the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) will begin on Wednesday, September 23rd. If you know of anyone interested in joining our faith community, please encourage them to sign up through our parish website or call the parish office.

If you have not already signed up to have your photo for the parish directory, please do so. The directory helps us to get to know one another and is extremely helpful to me personally as there is just one of me and many of you! If for personal reasons you would not like your address or phone number in the directory, you have the option at the time of your photo to let us know and we will not include it.

Peace and Blessings,

Father Chris
