Successful Lenten Reconciliation & Palm Sunday Blessings

Dear Friends,

Our Jennings County Catholic Community Lenten Reconciliation Service on Tuesday, March 10th, was very well attended with well over 200 people receiving the Sacrament. What a wonderful testament of trust in God's love and forgiveness! Thank you to our Pastoral Associate, Lisa Vogel, for coordinating the event and cooking for the priests! We will plan on having a community Advent Reconciliation Service in December.

This Sunday we celebrate the Fifth Sunday of Lent. It is hard to believe that next Sunday we will end the Lenten season with Palm Sunday and begin Holy Week!

This coming Monday we start Spring Break. I hope our students, teachers and staff have safe and restful week. I will be out of town visiting friends Monday through Thursday but will have the 8:30 am Mass on Friday March 27th at St. Mary's.

In today's second reading Saint Paul reminds us the truth about the Father and the Son.

"God (the Father) greatly exalted him and bestowed on him the name which is above every other name that at the name of Jesus every knee should bend, of those in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."

Hosanna in the Highest!

Palm Sunday Blessings,

Father Chris
