Dear Friends,
Happy 30th Sunday of Ordinary Time! In today’s second reading Saint Paul commends the followers of Jesus in Thessalonica, Greece for their faithfulness. He writes,
“You became imitators of us and the Lord, receiving the word with great affliction, and with joy from the Holy Spirit, so that you became a model for all believers.”
May we too be imitators of Christ and models of faith for others.
This year “All Saints Day,” November 1st, falls on Sunday and “All Souls Day” on Monday, November 2nd. After the October 31st Saturday evening 6 pm Mass I will bless graves in St. Joseph Cemetery and after the November 1st 8:00 am Sunday Mass at St. Ann’s I will bless graves in the St. Ann Cemetery. The Rosary will also be prayed at St. Mary’s Cemetery after the 10:00 am Mass on Sunday. Please join us for Mass and special prayers as we remember the Saints of old and all our faithful departed loved ones!
Peace and Blessings,
Father Chris
