Who Do You Say That I Am?

Dear Friends,

This weekend we celebrate the 21th Sunday of Ordinary Time. In today’s Gospel Jesus asked his disciples, “Who do people say the Son of Man is?” Then he asked them personally, “But who do you say I am?” Simon Peter said in reply, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” As we come together today may we recognize Christ present to us in the Eucharist, the Word and in one another!

If you have not already signed up to have your photo for the parish directory, please do so. Photos will be taken this next week beginning Monday, August 24th at St. Joseph’s Parish Hall. The directory helps us to get to know one another and is extremely helpful to me personally as there are many of you! If for personal reasons you would not like your address or phone number in the directory you have the option at the time of your photo to let us know and we will not include it. Thank you to those of you who have already signed up and to Lisa Vogel for organizing the photos.

For those who would like to enter into the Catholic Church the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) will begin on Wednesday, September 23rd. If you know of anyone interested in joining our faith community, please encourage them to sign up through our parish website or call the parish office.

Peace and Blessings,
Father Chris VF
