A Letter From Our Pastor (3/18/2020)

Dear Parishioners,

We are truly living in strange times. Yesterday Archbishop Thompson along with the other Bishops of Indiana announced that beginning today, March 18, all public sacramental and liturgical celebrations are suspended until further notice due to the Coronavirus pandemic. This suspension includes the following: All Masses (Sunday and Weekday), weddings, funerals, devotions, perpetual adoration, visits to churches and chapels. Communion to the home bound and Anointing of the Sick have also been suspended, but will be available in danger of death. If someone is in danger of death, please contact me as soon as possible.

Our parish office will be operating with limited hours. Please call the office 812- 346-3604 before you come. Also, we are still relying on your contributions. Please mail in your offerings to the parish office. If you are not currently getting the parish Flocknote updates, please join. Here is how to join: Text CCJC to 84576. We will not be printing bulletins during this time, but will have some form of communication each week.

We are currently working on making Sunday Mass available through livestreaming on our website, facebook, or youtube. In the coming days there will be more direction given to us from the Archdiocese. As that information is made available, it will be passed on to you. Please remember that things are constantly changing with this situation.

While all of this is shocking and bizarre, I trust that God will bring some good out of it. We must remember that our hope is in the Lord, and that he will never abandon us. I want to assure you that I will be offering the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass every day for the intentions that have been scheduled, and for you. In your charity, please pray for me.

Fr. Byrd
